Compressing a coil spring

 

The coil spring slowly compresses as pressure is applied. It may require a bit of force to compress fully, but with patience and steady pressure, the spring will give and become compressed. As it compresses, a slight resistance can be felt, but it's important to take care not to apply too much pressure too quickly. With a bit of gentle persistence, the coil spring will finally compress down to its fullest extent.
