JIS G 3521 Hard drawn steel wire
This standard specifies the material, dimensions, tolerance on dimensions and shape, mechanical properties, elongation, packing of hard drawn steel wire for spring used at a temperature not exceeding 700℃.
The wires shall be supplied in the form of coil or spool.
JIS G 3521 is the Japanese standard for hard drawn steel wire. This standard covers carbon steel wires with a minimum tensile strength of 980 MPa and a maximum tensile strength of 1,250 MPa. The wires are classified into seven grades according to their tensile strength (Grade 1 to Grade 7).
JIS G 3521 is the Japanese Industrial Standard for hard drawn steel wire. This standard covers carbon steel wires with a diameter range of 0.60 mm to 16.00 mm. The wires are classified into 5 grades according to their tensile strength, from grade 1 with the lowest tensile strength (N/mm2) to grade 5 with the highest tensile strength. JIS G 3521 also specifies the allowable values for elongation, bending, and torsion for each grade of wire.
