(1)Annealing: it allows recrystallization of the work hardened grains but also places chromium carbides(precipitated at grain boundaries) back into solution. It also be used to relieve stresses from cold working.
(2)Patenting: it allows recrystallization of the work hardened grains but also to relieve stresses from cold working and recover the deformed fine sorbite microstructure to typical patented sorbite. The patenting line also include in-line acid pickling and phosphating etc.
(3)Wire drawing: A cold working process to reduce the wire size and increase the strength to the targeted value. It is important to control the wire cast for spring application, and lubricant coating on the stainless steel spring wire for good coiling performance.
